Stocks to watch Tuesday: Aetna, Pfizer

CHICAGO (MarketWatch) — Among the stocks that could see active trade in Tuesday’s session are Aetna Inc., Archer Daniels Midland Co. and Pfizer Inc.
Aetna AET +1.28% is slated to report its second-quarter results. The insurance giant is expected to earn $1.25 a share on revenue of $8.75 billion, according to the average estimate of analysts polled by FactSet.
Archer Daniels ADM -0.18% is also set to report, and analysts expect the company to post a profit of 59 cents on revenue of $21.85 billion.
And Pfizer PFE -0.48% will earn 54 cents a share with sales of $14.93 billion if it meets analyst expectations.
Other firms scheduled to release quarterly financials include U.S. Steel Corp. X -0.84% , Louisiana-Pacific Corp. LPX -0.63% and Thomson Reuters Corp. TRI -0.89%
Shares of Seagate Technology Inc. STX +1.40% were under pressure in after-hours action following the company’s release of fiscal fourth-quarter results that came up shy of expectations.
